Welcome in the Rembrandtplein B&B

The Rembrandtplein Bed & Breakfast is a 17th century canal-house.

Dating back to the origin of Amsterdam itself. Originally called The dam on the Amstel river, which was later named Amsterdam by the local people.

Situated on one of the most picturesque canals in Amsterdam. In the same area where Rembrandt, one of Holland’s most famous artists, once lived.

Whom was known on a summer’s afternoon to sit, and paint some of his master-pieces on the very canal on which the Bed & Breakfast stands.

The Bed & Breakfast has since been restored, recapturing the original charm and character of days long gone.

The surrounding

The main tourist spots

The Rembrandtplein bed & breakfast is just a walking distance from many of the main tourist spots that Amsterdam has to offer. Such as the Rembrandtplein - a vibrant square with a wide choice of bars, restaurants, clubs and cafes. Only minutes from the square is the Flower Market, always worth a visit for it's variety of brightly coloured flowers only native to Holland.

Shopping

The shopping street Kalverstraat stretches from the Flower market thru to Dam square (home to The Royal Palace) then continues on the Nieuwendijk thru to Central Station. And then last but not least the notorius Red Light District, another world, yet only ten minutes from the hotel.

Public transport

Public transport is within easy reach whether you take the tram or metro. Both serving a direct line to the RAI congress centrum or Schiphol airport. Cycling is very popular in Amsterdam and a great way to see the city. A rental shop is just around the corner from the hotel. Or if you prefer to view the city from the canals you can take the canal bus that stops directly behind the hotel. There is also a 24 hour parking facility nearby.

The Bed & Breakfast is very proud on its unique location.
